Shawn Comstock, President and Owner of A-1 Staffing since 2011, brings over 20 years of experience in engineering and plant management to his leadership. He’s dedicated to connecting talent with opportunity across multiple industries, using his deep understanding of both clients and candidates to create ideal matches. Outside work, Shawn enjoys guitar, travel, and golf, and takes pride in supporting his kids’ college sports. His focus at A-1 Staffing goes beyond filling roles—he strives to build lasting relationships and a community centered on shared success.

Kendall, a U.S. Army veteran with a Cybersecurity degree from the University of West London, joined A-1 Staffing in 2023, bringing extensive HR and operations experience. Valued for his dedication and leadership, he focuses on improving efficiency and cultivating a positive workplace culture. Beyond work, he loves traveling and spending time with friends and family, highlighting his passion for connection and meaningful experiences.

Alexa has been in staffing, across multiple industries for many years. She brings a empathetic, people first approach to her process and is focused on providing the right solution for both her client and her candidates. With a passion for community engagement, she also sits on the board of a local non-profit focused on bringing moms back into the workforce. Outside of work, she spends time with her two kids and adorable golden retriever. Alexa loves reading, going for hikes and thrifting hidden treasures.

Gustavo, originally from Venezuela and now based in Omaha, has served as A-1 Staffing’s accountant since 2023. Fluent in English and Spanish, he’s known for his friendly, easygoing personality and love of baseball and softball—where friends call him “Melon.” Outside of work, he enjoys traveling to coastal destinations, drawn to beaches and seafood that remind him of home.

Flor Martinez joined A-1 Staffing in 2021, quickly rising from receptionist to recruiter thanks to her drive and talent. Born in Mexico and raised in Lincoln, she uses her Spanish fluency to build strong connections with clients and candidates. Outside of work, she enjoys crime documentaries and music, blending curiosity and creativity in all she does.

Heidi Rodriguez-Ortiz is the friendly face of A-1 Staffing and the creative mind behind its social media. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she keeps operations running smoothly—managing calls, greeting visitors, and helping applicants with information and forms. Outside the office, Heidi plays soccer in South Omaha leagues, bringing the same energy and team spirit that make her a key part of A-1 Staffing.
